Since its inception in 2017, CINGAI has been a leading research institute in AI development in China. They are an open multi-disciplinary institute, housed at Nakai University but not limited to Nankai university resources. Their scientific research is led by Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians. Gong Ke, the President of the World Engineering Congress is the Executive President of the institute. They are positioned for “strategic research” rather than “technology development”.
